The NYX Soho Glam Collection Is Perfect for Fickle Girls - Makeup and Beauty Blog
I was sitting in bed reading Stephen Rex'due south Under the Dome the other night when it hit me. No, not the volume, silly. 🙂 It occurred to me that I should get a tattoo of Tabs.
Don't ask me why, because the book doesn't accept annihilation to practice with cats, tattoos or cat tattoos, but since Tabs is my kitty BFF, and he comforts me whenever I get scared (like when I'thou reading a Stephen Male monarch book), information technology makes a kind of weird sense.
I don't have any tattoos correct now, but most of my friends have 'em. My brother'due south covered in tats, simply I haven't gotten any mostly because 1) I'm not into hurting, and 2) I've never really liked anything enough to permanently inscribe it on my trunk.
Except for Tabs (and maybe El Hub, simply that's just too cliche, LOL!).
I'thou however mulling over the idea, and information technology's not official yet. Knowing me I'll probably craven out. El Hub's totally against it. He'southward afraid a cat tattoo would just serve as a gateway tat, just non necessarily into more tattoos; he'due south afraid my level of crazy true cat lady-ness would escalate, and I tin't argue with that logic.
Since I'm nigh as fickle with makeup as I am with torso art, I'm especially thankful for blockbuster sets similar the new NYX Soho Glam Collection ($30).
(Aye, I know it took me an unusually long time to get effectually to the bodily bailiwick of this post. Pitiful.)
Girls and guys who love experimenting with color just might dear the massive variety of shades, textures, levels of paint, and finishes (oh hai, shimmers, glitters and mattes!) in this express edition palette of 54 eyeshadows — a few of them even double as face powders — iv pulverisation blushes, 8 lipsticks, ii glosses and one lip liner.
Released new for the holidays, Soho Glam covers a lot of makeup territory. Here are some quick observations on the palette…
- Eyeshadows — Although I had an like shooting fish in a barrel time blending these shadows together, the color payoff varies wildly, with the mattes being more sheer than the shimmers and glitters. I wish NYX had gone with less gray on the neutral side, considering for me information technology gets a picayune repetitive. But if you appreciate the nuances amid the shades y'all might not heed. As for fallout, I experienced a chip with the shadows in the heart of the palette, only in general these remained on my lids without any problem.
- Blushes —All four of the blushes use very sheer, and they're particularly corking for a naturally-flushed cheek look.
- Lip Products —Both the pan lipsticks and lip liner are unscented and unflavored (yea!), and I like the wide range of colors. I was a piddling nervous virtually the gloss in the tubes and expected them to accept that gnarly NYX taste and smell, but thankfully they don't.

More than Pics!
For a vacation palette, I think this one'southward a lot of fun. It'south huge, which is nice, but it's not then large that it gets unwieldy, similar those palettes with hundreds of shades. There's just enough color here to wet one's whistle without being totally overwhelming.

El Hub'due south Doppelganger!
I couldn't find anything to watch on Tv set last dark and ended upwardly watching the finale of The Sing Off, the show with the live accapella groups. Have you seen it?
I've seen a couple episodes, only I oasis't actually been impressed by the format. The singers are great, only it moves rather slowly, so there'south the matter of Nick Lachey… I think he's adorable when he's singing and dancing (call up 98 Degrees?), just he seems a niggling strong as a host (loosen up your buttons, baby!).
I don't know… Maybe that's just me (he sure is beautiful, though).
Speaking of 98 Degrees, have I ever mentioned that Jeff Timmons kinda looks like El Hub?
Years agone my friend Christine sent me this moving-picture show of him and the commencement matter that crossed my mind was, "Why does Christine take this goofy pic of El Hub?"
Man, the '90s were and so cheesy… I loved every infinitesimal. 🙂
