A day in Volendam and Edam in The Netherlands and what I wore

It's fun to exist a tourist in your ain state so on this beautiful sunny day, my family decided to become and discover Volendam.

Volendam is a local tourist allure and known for its cute old harbour and picturesque settings. Unfortunately, it has become a bit too touristy for our liking then we actually had to become off the browbeaten track to discover some of its old charm.

Like these pretty modest canals.

And the beautiful petty houses.

The pull-up bridges that however expect cute but are no longer in use.

A great dorsum drop for my outfit naturally!

The outfit itself is pretty basic and not totally as planned. I had actually wanted to vesture it with my gray moto jacket. Alas as it was hot indoors I forget to have it!

So we are left with my fabled brim from Porto and my super bones (but oh and so versatile) blouse from H&Yard. The accessories finish the look and add more texture and color.

A petty fleck disappointed with Volendam, nosotros decided to go to nearby Edam every bit well, which is world famous for its cheese.

Edam is smaller and not most every bit touristy equally Volendam even though in many ways it's prettier.

It has cute canals and bridges….

celebrated houses and plenty of lovely terraces where you can observe all the Dutch on a sunny day…

and cute cobblestone streets that take you lot back in time.

Lovely little churches….

sometime historic bridges…

and picturesque views that would make for swell postcards.

Edam is tiny but I prefer it to Volendam and is a great afternoon trip if you are visiting the netherlands as it's non then far from Amsterdam.
